Post news Report RSS Video showing the first falatities of Skara!

Very often in Skara, your final strike will make your enemy wobble, walking almost unconsciously, till he or she collapses in a pile. But are you the kind of fighter who wants to prolong this agony? A spectacular death sequence should end his suffering... and maybe inflict some fear and respect in your rivals' hearts.

We are approaching the last week in our kickstarter campaign and we are 83% of the way to our first goal! We need your help to make the final push.
To achieve our goal, we want to remind you of a special reward: the friends pack.
Games are always more fun with friends. That's why we will be giving backers two extra access keys to give to their friends. All you have to do is back us for $30!
So get your friends the gift of Skara, and spread the word to them on social!
Here you have a summary of our last kickstarter updates:

Fatality update

Very often in Skara, your final strike will make your enemy wobble, walking almost unconsciously, till he or she collapses in a pile.
But are you the kind of fighter who wants to prolong this agony? A spectacular death sequence should end his suffering... and maybe inflict some fear and respect in your rivals' hearts.
Fatalities are one of the things we love about being indie. We don't have a publisher telling us, ‘Wow, guys, that's too much blood!' We can unleash our creativity and create as many bizarre deaths as we want. The more bizarre, the better!
Every race will have different fatalities. A Khärn will remove your head from the right position and play soccer (or football, depending on where you are from!) with it. A Shinse will slice you in very tiny pieces with her deadly katanas.
We will also create special limited-edition fatalities, and charge users a little bit to differentiate themselves from the pack. It´s something merely cosmetic, so we don't compromise our free-to-win mission: You can´t buy your victories in the Skara--only earn them with skill.

Factions: Organizing group battle

Factions are the "groups," "clans," "tribes" and "guilds" that you as an individual player can join within a Skara race to engage in team battles. Factions will fight alongside one another and are set up to be able to achieve in-game objectives, from conquering an arena to protecting the 'King'... the sky is the limit as the game continues to develop new modes.
As the game progresses, factions will develop a story all their own.
So, for example, the victories and losses of the Durno factions in a given period will determine the standing of the Durno people overall in Skara. Great wins will be immortalized in the game by honoring individual players and groups. We hope to even track the status of the factions on the map of Skara in real-time.

Game Modes: One game, lots of ways to play it

We are obviously proud of the fact that we are bringing Versus Fighting to 16 player arenas.
But don't get us wrong: Skara will be a versatile game, with lots of different ways to play it.
Firstly, we have created a smaller arena, the Lava Coliseum, in which small, quick battles can take place. You can square off against a single player in a traditional versus match, or add up to three other players for a short group battle.
This style of play will be ideal for a short dose of fun, when you don't have time for longer, more strategic battling.
And we have envisioned lots of ways to engage in the longer battles, from basic team battles, where the team with the most kills wins, to Regicide, where you have to kill a key player or leader to win. We have also envisioned versions that include 'capture the flag' and territorial defense, where teams have to defend a position in the arenas from attack.
