The 8-bit Studios team are developing a "MOV" multiplayer online versus game free-to-play for PC's, next-gen consoles, smartphones and tablets. Pablo Rodriguez, CEO and Creative Director, started dreaming about Skara in 2009. By December 2012 he decided to go in with his friend, Cesar Ortega, to make his dream a reality. Together they founded 8-bit Studios and began assembling a team to develop Skara. Recently 8-bit Studios was licensed to develop Skara using Unreal Engine 4, a product of Epic Studios. We are dedicating all of our time and energy on creating the kind of game that every gamer would want to play. We rely on our supporters, knowing that by listening to them and by giving them an opportunity to participate in the creative process, we are sure to create a better game. That's why we have active social pages and forums and ask for lots of input--so we can put them directly into the game. After all, as gamers, we are very opinionated too and enjoy discussing our point of view
Two weeks ago we decided to go ahead with a new character, given that Durno and Khärn are in the game and the animation department is working on the Basic Anim. set. The chosen character was Shinse, as we want to have the strongest race (Khärn), the fastest (Shinse), and the average one (Durno) in order to balance the skills and the fighting style.
Our Art Director David Güell decided to give the character a twist, and created a new design for the 3D artist to start the modelling phase. Introducing the new Shinse!
