Shallow Space is a 3D Real Time Strategy game inspired by Nexus: The Jupiter incident and Homeworld. Shallow Space focuses on organised mass RTS space combat in a fully 3D environment. Ships in Shallow Space are nearly always grouped into Flotillas and Wings, and orders issued to these structures cascade to the subordinate members. Rather than stressing out clicking on the units or dragging selection boxes during the heat of battle, standing orders are issued in advance leaving you to zoom around, activating abilities and arranging support and reinforcements. Should the tide turn in battle traditional control is still available.

Think of this as an art preview, there's a number of bug's in the machine still (like the frigate's chasing the fighter corvette's) be patient and don't judge, it'll all take shape...

This looks incredible. I have a question though; will there be gargantuan ships? As in ships much bigger than the capital ship in the video. I do like me the big ships =P

Thanks! :) you read my mind, the cruisers and battlecruiser are going to get scaled up a bit this weekend. I think as a capital ship, the BC needs to match the majesty of the Capital Carrier and it doesn't at present. The Leviathan is going to be slightly bigger than the CC and the space stations will be huge.

Limited by my selection of models at the moment though!

Here's the video I promised, its the UI improvements i'm most proud of, there are now many ways to give the same command and it all gels together much better... but my guess is you'll enjoy the new graphical effects more ;)
