Hello
People loved to play DM-Deck16 at the original Unreal, so it was transfered into Unreal Tournament. And again it was one of the favorite MP levels. I myself liked to play it, and I have to admit that I was sad when I discovered that it was not included in Rune. But instad to moan I started to work, and voila - there it is.
I used the UT version of the level, applied Rune textures and redesigned the movers. And here we are at the mayor change: instead of two lifts there is only one now! In order to make the counterweigth work I had to use a trigger. This trigger is located at the center of the lift, so you have to step right onto the mover and not only stand at the corner to make it work. But as I see it, there is no problem when playing.
I also experimented with the new Polyobjects! It's not much, only something to break, and the broken thing will not respwan, but it's a little fun for the beserker ;-)
Finally I got something to say about the lights. I was thinking of changes I could make. Maybe transfer the accid water from the original into lava, thus making it necessary to change the lights (ever seen green lava?). But the lights are part of the characteristc of the level, something that's made it unique, therefore I decided to leave them the way they are.
Enough now, enjoy playing!
To do so, simply extract the map to your Rune/Maps folder and start the game! ;-)
And pay respects to Elliot "Mysha" Cannon, who gave us this great level.
