Looks interesting, it shows how a "simple" idea can go a long way , with just a few graphics that have been slightly changed a long with some logical game mechanics. Have you considered some of these ideas?

1. Have variances in height to make the problem more difficult.
2. Maybe implementing more than mirriors and gates, for example an intermediary like water that becomes "charged" when targeted by a laser. Charged water can be used to activate laser generators around the map.
3. Finally color variance, there is little color variance in the maps at the moment so perhaps that could be added, for example different collored flooring could mean different things such as when a laser passes over them they activate a barrier to flip up that enables some parts of the level but disables others.

Looks good but i dont think in its current state it looks good enough or has enough features to be sold currently

Hey!
Thank you for these ideas, I will hopefully think about them in future updates.

Hi Blamedrop,

I like the idea very much and would be the first to buy it (supposed it is classic windows, portable, DRM-free - no Steam please-, and has at least one off-line mode so that I can leave it to play to my children on an internet-free machine).

However there are serious problems in the current (2014-06-25) demo :
- there is no sufficient differences between gates. Instead of grey spheres, why not simply use the AND OR XOR etc symbol as the basic shape for each gate ? This would not only make it easier to differanciate gates on the board, it would also teach people the symbols themselves. Also please make it color-blind compatible somehow (larger beams ? dotted beams ? more contrasted beams ?).
- there is a serious commands problem, they need simplification. For example, why not just click on a gate to rotate it by increments ?
- I would like, personnally, the possibility to play on a 2D plane (from above the board). I do'nt really see the point in the 3D in that kind of games.
- you are note seriously expecting people to type "continue" to change level, are you ? I know there is a button to shunt that step but well ...
- Would there be a way to avoid most of the scroll bars on the tutorials and various text boxes by displaying larger boxes maybe ?

Great game anyway

Hi!

I'm glad you like it. I expect to release the game next week on Desura (which is some kind of DRM-Free platform, I guess?). And the game doesn't need Internet connection at all (at least my firewall told me so ;) - it doesn't even try to connect anywhere).

So it should be DRM-Free and don't need Internet connection already on release.

About problems:
1. There are symbols on these spheres actually, on the top of them. Like here: I.imgur.com Do you have some problem with models? But I guess you mean that they are in the same shape. Yup, unfortunately that was my best attempt with my crappy Blender skills to make gates and keep this some kind of style/desing. So yes, it could be better, but they do have symbols on them, and not real ones but something close and rounded like. But unfortunately I will probably stay with this design, hope you can get used to it.

1a. Colorblind mode! That's a cool idea. I don't know anyone who's colorblind but I guess I will add it as an option (or at least try, but I think it is possible, and hopefully I will learn something about colorblind people :-)) in first (or next) update after release!

2. Good idea. Will be added on update.

3. I was thinking about it during development, but also had idea of multi-platforms levels, finally I left both behind ;) But now it is good idea to add it as a button - 2D/3D camera switch - when in game. And 2D camera would be Orthographic. Hopefully within firsts updates.

4. No, this "Type 'cont..." text is only in 1st chapter and it was there rather to point that there's some kind of input to the console (which again isn't that extended to be worth mentioning ;]). It might be confusing unfortunately.

5. Are there any other boxes that need expanding except tutorial tips? But yes, that's good point. I will make them to scale with resolution, at least their height. (First update after release I guess).

Thank you very much for this fresh view on my game. Really helpful. And I'm GLaD that you like it :)

If you have any other ideas/requests feel free to ask.
