Pixel Battle Siege is a turn-based board-game reminiscent of chess, but with a completely new strategic dimension. Two players will have to control their armies in the most efficient way to get an edge over the other. This takes place in a 12x12 battleboard, and every turn each army is granted five actions (move/attack). Each unit has its own movement and attack area, and also serve very specific purposes. For instance, a defender can't attack, but he will guard himself and surrounding allied troops from the attacks of rangers and wizards.
- Five unique types of unit, each with its own particularities. Learn to master each of them and you will be able to overwhelm your opponent.
- Local multiplayer: challenge your friends in a fierce battle of thought!
- Be savvy! You better get to know your moves! You will only get five actions per turn. Which unit will you move? Which unit will you attack? Think it through, as any wasted action can result in defeat!

We're planning on implementing online multiplayer for the game in the near future. Aside from the features of the game itself, we will also be implementing the ability to record your games online and a ranking system to keep track of the best players of PBS out there!
Not only that! We're already on the process of creating an Advanced Mode that will feature at least five more units. In Advanced Mode, you'll be able to customize your army by spending points on every unit you want, allowing you to enter battle with a fully unique setup each time! Try out different combinations, and see which one fits you better! Also, turns will have limited time in Advanced Mode, so you'll have to get used to your army and be able to think and move quick! The battleboard will also be slightly bigger, to allow for bigger games and more deployment room.
We also plan on giving android support so that you will be able to play PBS on your smartphone or tablet! Take the battle everywhere you go!
Finally, we would also like to develop a correspondence mode, similar to how you would play chess by mail, so that players can play an extended game and do one turn each via messages. This way, you can even keep several correspondence games at once!
Ever since the beginning of the visual production of PBS I've been trying to keep things simple while making them look nice at the same time. For me, this has been quite a challenge, since I'm not used to design symbols/buttons/signs. I'm more of a character-drawing guy.
Nevertheless, I did my best and I think we managed to get a decent result. You can check it on the video below:

Stay tuned, for there will be more checker designs as we're now coding the Advanced Mode of PBS, which will feature around 5 completely new checkers plus the possibility to choose which units you want to use on the battleboard. Each player will be given a certain amount of points which he will spend on units (each unit costing a different amount, depending on its function on the field).
Also, turns will have a time cap, so you'll have to think quickly and make your moves. Anyway, that's all for now!
