Indie Pirates 3D is a mobile pirate game which has grown out of a concept originally developed for
                            PC/Mac/Linux. Although in the future we will develop the game on those platforms as well, we would
                            like to focus on sharing the gameplay experience much earlier by bringing it to mobile platforms.
                               Due to platform limitations, the game won't have as many fancy features as were initially intented
                           for other platforms, but it will have a new and awsome storyline and addictive gameplay:

                           1. You'll progress through the game gaining experience which will help you boost some of your skills and
                           and the characteristics of your ship. All these changes will reflect directly in your ships performance and

                           2. You'll meet a lot of European trade republics such as the Venetian and many others; they will give you
                           bonus loot in every level, but be wary, as no merchant ship comes without protection. 

                        We will soon make a proper update and show off some of the stuff we've been working on these last few
                         months but here's a quick list before we make more updates in detail:
                        1. Finished all the ship models and made a very flexible controller so that every ship can use it no matter
                         how many cannons it has or what maximum speed and rotation it can achieve.
                        2. Made a total mesh deformation to form realistic waves a give a real feeling to the ocean, also using 
                         physics for ships and other objects.
                        3. Made many sea creatures that have their own AI which allows them to roam free in their own random direction.
                        4. Made coral reefs all around the islands that will act as a protection for smaller ships and a barrier for bigger
                        ones, making the gameplay a balanced strategic challenge.
                        5. Made 10+ original music compositions of amazing quality that you will have a chance to hear very soon.
                        6. Made 10+ missions, each with their own island formations, vegetation and topology, as well as skirmish
                        maps, providing a unique strategic challenge that spices up the gameplay.

                           ...and did we mention there will be a free version? Well, there will be :D

Thank you all!

First of all, we wanted to thank all people who voted and supported us on IOTY because they nominated our game into the top 100 list. We didn't won any of the awards but we are happy to see that we are able to compete with the big guys in the indie game development scene...

Now this week we thought, what the best way to connect with our fans and make them share ideas and being part of this game. And then suddenly bulb showed over my head. I remember the website called that let's you make community social networking website... so we made that to see how it will turn out.. You can join and chatter with other members here:

I don't know what I should be thinking about this project. You were initially using Unity3D, then you changed to CryEngine, now you are saying again that it will be Unity3D. Then you delete news article. You barely post any updates. Is anything gonna happen in the subject?

Yeah, we got some explanation to do:
1. We were using Unity3D before and sad that later that we will be using CryEngine 3 for PC build of the game but we never sad that we abandoned unity project.. so some time passed, we built some game assets and realized that for now PC build will take more time to develop and last 2-3 months we developed the handheld device version(at this development time only on android) which will have some of the basic features of the PC game.. Reason for this is quicker time to experience the gameplay before the PC version comes out... In fact, for people that liked our page know that android version of the game will come 24th of February this year..
2. The reason we deleted the last article is because Robi didn't exactly know the rules of indiedb news writing(immidiate archiving if there is no other media other that text)..So know we will do more professional updates(including the starting page when players first come to our page)..

P.S: As an apology to our fans, there will be a free version of the game on android devices..

Thnx :D Currently during summer we have paused working on the game, all members had some other stuff to do, but we will resume working in fall/winter. Also we plan a lot of system surprises, new engine, higher quality models and also new features, so we are not yet ready for alpha.Thats all I can reveal for now.

This game will become better... we are changing a lot of things, and redesigning the whole concept from scratch...all that so we get unique simulation like experience...
