Orthot II Windows, Mac, Linux, Web game

Essentially, Orthot is an abstract transport puzzle game which aims to provide a very "pure" 3d puzzling experience. Puzzles are built out of sets of puzzle elements, all of which either occupy a cube-shaped space or are non-spatial objects attached to the sides of other objects. Objects move exactly one space in one direction at a time. Collisions are handled by a concurrency-aware solver, so if two or more moving objects strike each other, the outcome is consistent and depends on how they strike, rather than an internal turn-based system.

You won't see an object stuck half-way between two reasonable positions or resting on an uneven angle. Things don't get jammed into spaces they can't fit into, then ejected at high velocity in a random direction. Instead, all movement and interaction in Orthot II is well-defined and explicitly coded, allowing for 3d puzzles which with extremely consistent mechanics.

Orthot II has a couple interesting non-puzzle features: Because it seemed the very "retro" thing to do, Orthot II uses a synthesizer with some unusual algorithms to perform J. S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, with random ordering, all day long. Orthot II also includes its own puzzle editor, allowing you to create and share puzzles.
