The development of Noverat has started at the beginning of 2012 when the core team (John as 3D artist and Ana as programmer) started experimenting with various ideas for an RPG. With the power of the Unreal Engine we were able to quickly get things rolling.
Once the first environment concepts for the Noverat world were ready, we contacted Anthony Sweet from Handwritten Games, who took our drafts of the story and straightened the logic, filled in the gaps, and in the end weaved a truly exciting and beautiful tale.
Afterwards we've gathered a team of very talented collaborators for animations, FXs, sound, music and finished the prototype for the game.
Until now we've been paying for everything out of our own pockets, while also keeping a full time job. However, after realizing exacting where this game is going, we have decided to dedicate ourselves entirely to its development. So we've quit our jobs and are now focused on creating a beautiful and fun to play game.
