Players travel across several worlds known as "Ages", solving puzzles and gathering story clues by reading books or observing the environment. End of Ages offers players three navigation modes to explore: classic, classic plus, advanced.

Never played it. I'm a huge fan of all their editions, so I'll have to get this one and try it out. I think it is real-time 3D unlike the original games with static images.
My favorite is Myst IV because the images are static but panoramic spheres and you can move the mouse to see in any direction. Brilliant!
