Play as Daniel Hanson, commander of the first expedition to planet Meridian and uncover the dark secrets it holds! Shape the world around you with every decision you make and through every dialogue with your crew. Meridian: New World offers countless options to devise your own strategy, including various equipment options for your units and special abilities for you to rely upon. Use your abilities anywhere on the battlefield and turn the tide of battle by weakening the enemy troops. Alternatively take the covert approach and sabotage the enemy power supply to shut down their production. You can rely entirely on researching superior weapons or special abilities. Or you can risk building a large economy, constructing a massive army from your enormous resources. The strategy you use and how many troops you sacrifice to reach your goal will influence the attitude of your crew towards you.

BALANCE CHANGES:
- Increased situational awareness of the AI to prevent the player from easily winning with mass infantry
- Increased situational awareness of the AI to better prepare for air units
- The 19th and 20th waves in Turret Defense are now easier

BUG FIXES:
- Fixed a bug where the progress bar above incomplete buildings would disappear if a new building was about to be placed
- Fixed a bug where less Shardium was given back to the player than necessary when canceling production of Light Tanks or Scouts
- Fixed an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." crash which occured occasionally at the initial loading
- Fixed an "Index was outside the bounds of the array." crash which occured when trying to attack with units currently holding position
- Fixed a crash which occured occasionally when selecting another player's Light Factory while the equipment hologram was visible
- Fixed a bug where turning off shadows would change interior lighting color from orange to white
- Fixed a performance issue which occured on campaign maps, while a worker unit was selected
- Fixed a bug where quitting campaign and then entering again wouldn't reset choices made throughout the campaign
- Selecting a numbered group via its hotkey will now only jump the camera to the group if the hotkey is quickly pressed twice
- In the intro map, units couldn't be ordered directly next to the dropship, this is now fixed
- Fixed a bug where the transport's landing and take-off animation would display incorrectly at low FPS values
- Right clicking will now cancel the currently selected special ability
- Fixed a bug during Turret Defense which caused special abilities to malfunction if used via clicking the buttons instead of hotkeys
- The credits video played during the introduction mission will now properly resume when unpausing the game
- Fixed a bug where the "Talk to Donovan" button wouldn't disappear when talking to Donovan again after the first mission
- Memory management of the GUI was optimized, it now utilizes less RAM
- Fixed Russian fonts to include reported missing characters

MAP EDITING AND SCRIPTING CHANGES:
- When winning a map while testing, clicking "Quit to Main Menu" will now close the game properly instead of crashing it
- If a map is already loaded, the save window will already contain that map's name to make overwriting it easier
- Ctrl + S is now a shortcut to saving the map
- Fixed a bug which caused the wrong map (or no map) to be launched when clicking "test this map"
- Added functions "GUI_GetMouseX" and "GUI_GetMouseY" to retrieve the mouse cursor's current position
- Uploading to Steam Workshop now works from within the editor, you don't need to test your map to reach the uploader
- Steam Workshop uploads should now work from the editor instead of returning an Error #124 all the time

Note: The Editor will only update after restarting Steam.

Patch 0.8! Yay!
Heavy trooper! Yes!
So. would Heavy trooper have some grenades,flame-throwers?
Or some stealth infantry, some claws, sniper rifles and other weapons and stuff?
Reminding me of glory and quality of Dawn of Wars series.

In fact, so far I am just watching and normally am used and like to wait 'till the game is released in full content.
I hoped game would be accessible not just via Steam.
But now I plan to buy it on my name-day, in 3 weeks.
Playable game which is still in development is something like when patch is released for League of Legends?
I always like to try the demo first.
But 0.8 beta sounds like great progress very near to the full release.
So in the end, I ask if you have ETA on full release? xd
Thumbs up for your fantastic game.

Will Meridian NW have any of the following (ok just some nitpicks to ask):

1. Super weapons
2. Creeps or animals
3. Mechs or Walkers
4. Other Mission types than just building and attacking in the campaign
5. More characters in the story.
6. An explaintation of the elements of the game, like what Shardium is or why this and that happens.
7. Funny moments like easter eggs?

1. In the form of skills, yes.
2. No, this is explained in the story.
3. There already are, many of them.
4. The campaign is VERY varied with lots of mission types (stealth, take out Power Plants to weaken enemy infrastructure, choose a base to take out and bear consequences, etc.)
5. Yes, there are more throughout the campaign
6. The encyclopedia on board your ship contains a detailed description about these things, Shardium is explained as well.
7. Yes, you can find some of these on board your ship.

So theres really only one infantry type unit?
Uhh, no more factions and diversity, what a pity.
I can see only 3 command bar buttons and
minimap in lower corner of screen gives big neck ache.
But succesor of Original War,Earth 2160,Supcom,Warzone 2100,
Starcraft II,Dawn of War is always welcomed!
Not Tiberium,Uranium,Radium,Trinium or Mutarium, but Shardium!
Pity that our country never finished the Hartross project.
Anyway, glory to any new RTS. Moreover when its from Europe.

Remember, it's in alpha. I've played it a little bit so far and I think it has great potential. They definitely need more factions and infantry. The one infantry class is good for about 5 minutes in a skirmish, until the AI starts rushing at you and you need to pump out light armor right away. The pretty colors remind me of C&C though, I might switch to that while this builds a little more.
