Medieval Legends has been in development for 3 months and is soon to be on the App store.
Its only been me working on this game, cause its a student project and I'm very passionate about making games.
Medieval Legends Lite App
Itunes.apple.com
Currently Medieval Legends has one level and a couple enemies. I do plan on updating the content by adding more levels, monsters, gear and much more. For the most part I plan on taking my time and making things much better from here on out. Right now my direction for Medieval Legends is more an arcade kind of feel. I want the player to be able to pick this game up play it and progress to another level by beating the previous one. Other features like magic and power-ups I want to include, reason being I don't want the player to feel limited to just hacking and slashing.
Game Details
-Hack and Slash your way through waves of monsters!
-Gather loot and level up your character.
-Fight various types of monsters and Bosses.
-Completing levels earns you a new level with new monsters, bosses and items.
Just a quick update on Medieval Legends progress, the new user interface is done and also the heads up display.
Gameplay
Currently your hero has two stats the player can raise, which are "Constitution" and "Strength".
Potions are a big part of the game, this allows you to buff your character when needed.
I got rid of the blocking system, the "B" button is now an alternate attack.
Framerate is now at a steady 28 frames per second, I'm currently still working to make this better.
As for controls, I received some complaints about them being unresponsive. the controls are now very responsive and the gameplay itself is more face paced.
Updates to the game will add more stats, potions and monsters. Currently there is no equipment, but perhaps in a later update you'll be able to make a custom hero.
There has been reports that the user interface of the IPad version is not scaling properly.
Medieval Legends Lite has been approved in the app store and is almost ready!
I will be uploading a free version of the game for everyone to test and enjoy.
Medieval Legends is now being developed by "Dragon Valley Games"!
Hey Mugoo,
I downloaded the app, but it seems to be more for the iPhone than the iPad. It looks good anyways. It is an excellent start.
