Did you know that Mechwarrior had its own classic Battletech TV show? In 1994, Saban Entertainment (makers of the Power Rangers) released a syndicated 13-part series on Battletech, known as Battletech: The Animated Series. Cutting-edge for its time and incorporating combat sequences using digital graphics alongside traditional animation, the show focused on the exploits of Major Adam Steiner and his 1st Somerset Strikers in the course of responding to the Clan Invasion of 3050.

This file pack contains all episodes of the Battletech: Animated Series.
This pack also contains a bonus video, a broadcast from the Discovery Channel's "Beyond 2000" series on the "Battletech Center," a massive arcade system specifically designed for team-based battlemech engagements with full man-sized cockpits!
Note: Research has revealed that there may have been a "special" flashback-style episode between Episodes 5 and 6.
Warning: The sound quality may be low or poor on some episodes due to the fact that this show originally aired in 1994 and as such, it is 20 years old.
"No guts, no galaxy!"
Spearheaded by Clan Jade Falcon, the initial invasion of the Inner Sphere results in the conquest of the planet Somerset. Spurned by the loss of his homeworld and potentially his brother, Andrew, Major Steiner organizes a unit of soldiers, mercenaries, and tradesmen aboard a requisitioned Draconis Combine jumpship, founding them as the 1st Somerset Strikers. While initially intending to employ his unit as an intelligence-gathering force, Major Steiner finds himself exposed to the harsh realities of combat, loss, betrayal, and eventually comes face-to-face with Clan Jade Falcon's own Nicolai Malthus.
Likewise, the series provides an examination into the culture and conflict surrounding the warriors of Clan Jade Falcon, including a feud between its own forces.
It even touches on conflict between houses of the Inner Sphere, even in the wake of the Clan invasion.
The show is based in part on the Mechwarrior universe, although there remains debate as to the show's incorporation into the Mechwarrior and Battletech canon. Nevertheless, sourcebooks and technical readouts detailing information specifically regarding the 1st Somerset Strikers were subsequently released by FASA in 1995.
