Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries is a battlemech piloting simulation and part of the Mechwarrior and Battletech universe unleashed by FASA Studios. In April 2010, MekTek received permission from Microsoft to release the game for free using their MekMatch torrenting program. Now that MekTek has refocused its energies on Heavy Gear, it is up to the community to keep the classic mech piloting tradition alive. This group will also serve as a platform for downloading new content created by the community, including new maps,mods and mech decals, some of which have been hosted by other enthusiast sites.
Description
Mechwarrior 4 Vengeance camouflage for Mektek Mechpak 3.1 to install it just replace RESOURCE\props.mw4 and RESOURCE\textures.mw4 with the ones provided. Requires Mektek Mechpak 3.1 version 0029 or 0030 visible as the last four numbers of the exe version or the top right of the multiplayer connect screen. Now with optional replacement MechLabs!

Would you happen to know how to mod the in game textures? I really want to edit the terrain, possibly increase the resolution of the textures too. I'm just not sure how to go about it properly.

Vengeance camo is best for this game. Tried them all and the most realistic and appealing camos are definitely Vengeance/BK.
Author - suggestion. One of the Hud elements in Mektek is quite crappy as well - default central console radar image was quite nice and neutral originally but was changed to pixelated abomination by Mek Tek. Suggestion to replace 6997_hud4.tga and 6998_hud4.tga{hint} in textures.mw4 with original Mercs or Vengeance version (they are the same and called 7403_hud4.tga and 7404_hud4.tga{hint} ), if you could do so in both packs would be much appreciated. I've done it and its so much better.
why does the mod has to replace any of the mektek texture? I mean sure, some of them are repeats and the difference are almost negligible, but there were a bunch of lookers too.
can't we have the ones from vengeance but also those of mektek? the more the merrier I would say.
