Longshot is a game about space combat. The majority of the gameplay is dueling with other ships, flying maneuvers with allies and destroying the enemy. You play a merc either for the humans or the aliens. There are six ships on each side, two of each of three different classes. There are four weapon types and two missile types. There is a central base which can be captured to allow you to build automated defense turrets. The purpose of the game is either to destroy the enemy base or hold the central base long enough to win.
In the brand new horde mode, you take control of a ship on the human side. You start with the lightest ship available, but can spend money to upgrade ships or run to the central base (already captured) and build up turrets and platforms to defend against the incoming hordes of aliens.
In the full release this mode is available as a co-op. The high scores will track how far you survived before your base it finally destroyed.

@sparsevector in some ways that could be better, especially if it was hand curated and they actually promoted outstanding indie titles

@XanderDavisLive if it flops, at least they can resell them as a portable stage

Probably not terribly surprising, but we're changing the name from #RisingStorm to a much more appropriate Netstorm 2!http://t.co/qWVrJHmXDu

I'll probably spoil it here anyway, but there should be a big announcement at T.co tonight. Finally!
