A seemingly unremarkable and solitary man, Robert Dawn, leads a self imposed, ordered life guided and comforted by strong spiritual faith. He has never thought of himself as heroic or even particularly brave, but those who had known him in the past would say otherwise. Lost love, lost opportunities, chaotic memories, all put aside for the sake of peace of mind. He is mostly content. However, fate can be a cruel and random thing. Robert drifts uneasily in sleep. He hears the waves, tastes saltiness on his tongue and feels the warmth of the sun on his skin. A peaceful dream, yet something feels wrong. He struggles awake to find himself alone on the beach of a small island, surrounded by debris and wreckage, and no memory of how he came to be there.
