Description

Quiet and morose, the marshland known as Grimpen sits, brooding and humid in the heavy air. The Specimens have come and gone, but their return is imminent - your presence draws them inexorably closer to feed. And inevitably, the swamps will run red for a second time by the fall of day.

I rated this map a 8.5 out of 10.
Technical [1.5/2.0] Specimen pathing, little or no glitches/bugs.
The map seemed a little laggy, which I have been seeing more often with these newer maps that have a lot of scenery. I also found one bug where if you climb a rock and get to the back of it the specimen have no pathing to that area, and thus just stand around waiting to be picked off. I’ve attached picture of this.

Polish [1.5/1.5] Overall polish of the maps' visuals.
There was nothing I could really find that seemed unfinished visually. I also was pleased by all the little details in the burnt out house, from the tea cups on the table, to the chandelier that smashed the piano. Beautiful work.
Flow [1.0/1.5] Overall combat flow and feel of the map.
The overall combat flow was pretty simple; just try to get to the next trader, then blast away until she opens her door. I sometimes got annoyed that I forgot to start running to the trader before finishing off the wave, and was upset to find that she doesn’t wait around to see if you were just late.
Balance [1.5/1.5] No overpowered camping spots, able to fight in a multitude of spots.
There simply where not any area’s that I would want to camp for long, seeing as I was usually running to the next trader location.
Theme [2.0/2.0] Overall Focus of the maps' theme.
I really liked the theme of this map, it really felt like a better version of Farm; but swampy. I enjoyed the burnt out and destroyed buildings scattered across the swamp, it really made the map feel deserted.
Originality[1.0/1.5] Will award this point for original play features/idea’s.
Though this map is truly a great map, and feels very official, it’s almost too officially typical.

Very nice map, only problem is it might be just too hard. (For me anyway) :D
