Jagged Alliance: Flashback is our vision of returning a once critically acclaimed franchise back to its roots, it's not a reboot, it's a reset! Our main goal is to bring back the tactical turn-based action that the original Jagged Alliance games are known for - the game was a thinking man's game, a thinking man with lots of guns! The games were unique in their blend of tactical turn-based action, controlling and maintaining squads of mercenaries, off and on the battlefield. As a player the decisions you made had a direct impact on how you played the game. Additionally, over-the-top personalities, memorable characters and role-playing elements made the games difficult to put away once you were hooked.

Agree (1) Disagree

Any new game that has actually less functionality then the original, is not really a new game imo.

Missing/Incomplete/Bugs:

- No quicksave (come on!)
- Item markers on map (glowing items, so I don't have to scan the whole map with hawk eyes)
- Toolboxes are empty fast!
- No opening and closing doors / No breaking windows
- Inventory should auto close after looting all.
- Not possible to fight along with militia if your in that sector
- Can't see enemy health
- Aiming is all off (Standing next to enemy we both still miss, behind cover and enemy very far away get critical hit?)
- Sneaking doesn't really work? (Didn't get it to work anyway)
- Everything else that's in JA2 1.13...

More stuff... But kinda quit out of frustration.

Hope updates will fix a lot... I will review again.

Agree Disagree

-Mediocre TBS, lot of cover system is missing like hide behind corner of building and shoot from it (its driving me crazy, whole urban fighting is just pain in AZZ)
-without jagged alliance soul
-no attachments, whole gun porn is missing where you can customize your guns
-various munnition is missing -like hollow point, FMJ etc...
-few skills
-few sectors
-small, unsatisfying micromanagment
-cant fight together with militia
-cant exit map when battle start
-unfinished, in alpha state
-from start I was sure you cant make JA game in short time and I was right its just too complex game to make, devs not skilled, from small studio and run out of money (?)

+Still lot better than JA Back in Action
+-Have potential, have no idea if they ever finish it, but I dont think so
They probably release free dlc with laser pointers and scopes and move on to make some other shiat

As I said its mediocre TBS 5/10 but if you slap "jagged alliance" brand on it then its 2/10
Do not buy ...at least for now
