This is so awesome it hurts, why isn't this more popular???
Only 3 complaints:
1. You are not using the new pistol model that exists in RE as of version 1.30! It looks somewhat generic, but it's certainly an improvement.
2. I *love* the special effects but the wounded effect is a *bit* too intrusive. I'm not epileptic, but if I was, I'd be having bloomin' fits!
3. I think running (with Shift) should at least have some penalty.
Bug report: might just be Windows XP being Windows, but I'm unable to alt-tab back to the game when the game is paused. Any clues on that? Perhaps it's because it launches via a batch script?
Explain in depth the bug itself. Thank you.
If you are using alt. I'd tell you to use the start key instead. This will minimize the game and you can enter back in at anytime by opening it from the toolbar.
Hey, Evropi. First, thanks for the report. Second, I'm working on Iron Fist. I'm not the lead developer, Tempris is, but part of my job is testing. I did understand what you've said and I'm cheking this out.
So, you are using Windows XP, SP 3, I suppose. I'll do a clean install of this OS and try exactly what you've said. For now, I don't believe it's a bug itself. If the batch scrip has something to do with it, I don't know... I'l test by other ways and I'll let you know what I find out.

I finally figured this issue out. What I mean is that I know what hes saying, but I'm not sure why it wouldn't work...
The penalty is a lose in stamina. Which determines survivalbility in underwater, jumping and maneuverability. A player must keep in check of this.
I know, but it's such a weak penalty it's ridiculous :P The first time I properly noticed it was in Destructobox because well, you can't actually run down that 'cliff' (probably a fault of the Cube Engine, no hard feelings) sometimes. Sometimes you can, sometimes now, shucks.
I can run across Coilla get the flag *and go back* and have only just barely run out of running speed. The penalty definitely needs to be harsher. Maybe I'm just misjudging because IF still has no really big maps that survivability (e.g. underwater, I'm imagining something like Oasis from Wolfenstein: ET here) would be significant and stamina would matter.
But for now, I think running should certainly be nerfed in the form of less stamina by default. Sane defaults = what sell your product, remember that. So far so good though.
I felt that way also Regarding the stamina and Sprint penalty. I had it set the way it was.due to the massive size.of Destruction Box. As I have already planned on most maps being very large Coilla turned out to be quite small for the Sprint. I was planning on decreasing it or making Coilla larger.
I've made the stamina penalty larger in the latest release.. Bugs that still crash the game though... Ill be adding new support and a fresh Engine build too this summer so expect it soon enough!
The pistol model in question is reserved for a weapon that will be traded after a long slumber. The Laser Pistol is the weapon that will use this model. So that's why the Handgun seems old. Because I don't have a modeler for weapons. Especially not in md5. I'm not sure what the rates are for paying a modeler in md5 or other, but I'm beginning to lean in that direction. If payment is the case I will need to push donations as I'm living off of 2.35$ for the next week and don't have time myself. If anyone could help this would finally give Iron Fist the edge it needs if we can get a modeler it would be great!
