Not to sound like an *******, but I think you guys should vary your color pallete more...

The game looks great, but the only 2 colors I've seen since day 1 have been varying shades of gray and brown.

I agree. While I'm not trying to offend anyone either the grey on grey does get very stale quick. I also agree that there's a very fine line with what's acceptable in game and in real life. The two can rarely ever be equally balanced. What looks good in life would look a lot better ingame if exaggerated upon. Ultimately I'll go with whatever the designers believe is best of course, but a bit more variety wouldn't hurt.

The color is fine this is a military complex and the military are know for using shades of green or brown for all their structures and equipment.

When ZPS make some outside environments i bet they will have more colors on their pallet.

By the way the map looks nice, and is that real time shadow maps that i see ;).

Well of course... But there's real life and then there's a game. I don't know if I can stand 2 colors for 4+ hours straight. I certainly would go mad if I would in real life.
Not knocking the style. They've got a good look here. So far it's the most plausible future military tech I've seen so far visually. I just wish there was some life, you know? Color coded strips on the ground telling employees and the like where to go, labels and logos on boxes, maybe (and this is a bit much) even a Killzone2/3 style lens flare to throw some purples and blues in there.

Description

This weeks POTW is an early dumb of a map in-development for Deadlock, internally codenamed RiftWars. The map is created by Jess Rahbek (Our beloved Level Designer on Running Man). RiftWars is a small intense map (4-8 player) comprised of platforms, walkways, bridges and small hangars all exposed around a big underground grater.
