corusant buildings are very different, these are more related to real-life buildings than anything.

At what time will the game take over the controls when you go in for landing? Or have you got any other clever solutions to that as well?

You can just land manually :)
Try the ICP for example, you can land on asteroids and even in the hangar of the battleship.

Landing was a swine though - for 'proper' landing areas there should probably be some form of beacon-guided landing so you just have to get yourself into range. Of course the hard-core amongst us would just disable it, but the option would be nice.

I had no problems with it, ofcourse you need some skill and have to learn it, but that didn't take a lot of time and effort for me. It's a twitch-based game and learning how to fly and land a spaceship is part of the gameplay.
Anyway, I remember InfinityAdmin say something about a possible "auto-landing" system for those who want it, but I'm not sure thats still planned.

They're procedurally generated buildings on procedurally generated planets. It seems a little much to ask for them to be destructible, at this point anyway.

Anyroad, they look great and I can't wait to see whole cities full of them.

Final note: Just about ANY sci-fi city is going to look at least a bit like Coruscant.

There is no connection between the buildings, just thinking realistically, this could cause some issues for the people who use those buildings. Wouldn't some form of connection (like a bridge) make them look closer to similar buildings in reality (saying enough buildings of that gigantic size are ever made and grouped together)?
