Post news Report RSS Featured Developer Peter Thorsø Rasmussen (Reto.Bacon)

Once in a while we feature one of the developers from the team and tell you a bit about who they are and what they are working on. This time it's our very own medic: Support Manager, Peter Thorsø Rasmussen aka. Reto.Bacon.

What is your gamertag in Heroes & Generals, and what’s the story behind it?
Reto.Bacon - “A life without bacon, is like a sea without water “ Enough said? :)

What is your position at Reto-Moto?
Support Manager - It is my task to build and manage our support center.

For how long have you been working here?
Since February 2012

What games have you worked on?
None. Prior to joining the team at Reto.Moto, I worked within the financial sector in customer service and risk management.

Which tools do you use for making Heroes & Generals?
A screwdriver, a baseball bat and a pack of smoked bacon. Joke aside, as I am not an actual “game developer” so this question doesn't really apply to me, but the Support Center is build on Kayako.

What are your hobbies?
Gaming, movies, partying, board games, role-playing and other geeky hobbies.

What's the best thing about Heroes & Generals?
I love the idea of combining a realistic FPS game, with a strategic game. What appeals to me the most, is the concept that the FPS won't be a mindless “Kill as many as possible in a certain amount of time” type of game - but that there will be actual strategic decisions that will affect the FPS play in multiple ways.

<!--more-->What's the best thing about working at Reto-Moto?
The colleagues, the atmosphere and the challenge of being a part of something new which I find very exciting.

What are you working on right now?
We have just released our Support Center, so right now I’m trying to optimize the processes after seeing its functionality and listening to the feedback I’m getting from it.
Next step is to try and figure out how much support staff we need to hire, to always provide our future customers with an explicit service.

What are your favorite games of all time?
That’s a hard one to answer. I enjoy many different types of games so i guess i'll just try to list some of my favorites in their game categories.
FPS: Heroes & Generals of cause!!! oh and also Quake 2 - Capture the flag (Loved that grappling hook! ). Almost forgot my first FPS Outlaws, was so much fun on Lan!
MMORPG: Dark Age of Camelot - Still the most fun PVP game I have played.
Strategy: StarCraft 1 and the Civilization series.
Single RPG : The Elder Scrolls series, Diablo 1, Baldur's Gate and KOTOR 1&2.

What are your favorite movies?
So many, i'm kind of a movie freak... Donnie Darko, Memento, The Big Lebowski, The Matrix (only the first one!) , Shawshank redemption, Godfather, Aliens, Lord of the Rings, Troy, Sin City, Kung Pow, Zoolander and basically everything Matt Stone and Trey Parker touches. Love all of their movies and of cause South Park which I have seen every single episode of more than once! I would love to go to Broadway to see their musical “Book of mormon”.
