Heretic was the first game to use the Doom engine outside of id. Produced by John Romero in cooperation of Raven Software, Heretic promises to be a great fantasy blastfest in a package! Fight off Gargoyles, Golems, Wraiths and Weredragons with your Dragonclaw, Phoenix rod, Hellstaff and Firemace! This game also introduces a new item system that's become a general must for most games, using with the familiar bracket keys. Items include Wings of Wrath, Polymorph Egg, Chaos Device, Disc of Repulsion, and everyone's favorite Tome of Power, that supercharges your weapons!

I played this map and your version of E1M9, and they're both excellent. It's obviously a lot of work, but you really should consider remaking all the other maps as replacement for the vanilla episodes. Despite not being as good as Doom or Hexen, it's hard not to love Heretic. What's sad though, is how a billion Doom maps get released every year, but by comparison Heretic and Hexen get so little attention from the modding community, and quality maps are a rarity to boot. We really need someone to step up a make a Heretic the Way Raven Did; although a Hexen the Way Raven Did would be even better.
This map was just awesome! Thank you very much, it was a nice experience. Well balanced, plenty of munition, nice enemies, it had everything. Very good!
