This game was made by Codemasters, the creators of the TOCA/Race Driver series. Race Driver: GRID is an arcade / tarmac racing simulator consisting of 43 cars. However, two Ferrari's were removed before launch,along with a posche 911 GT3 which could still be driven by obtaining contracts but not actually bought, creating a problem for 360 players who are seeking the "Drive Them All" achievement. The game features an Instant Replay feature which allows the player to rewind time by up to 10 seconds as many times as the player wants to. There is also a Flashback feature, which can only be used for a limited number of times of which is determined by the difficulty setting. There are several modes of competition using various cars, including: GT races, open wheel races, demolition derbies, etc. There are also several tracks derived from different countries, including Japan, United States and European tracks such as Le Mans and Spa Francorchamps.

highly underrated game if you ask me. it plays so good and looks and sounds amazing for a game this old. still play it today with friends over hamachi.

I think Grid: 2008 is the best racing game ever made. The game world feels alive, it feels real.
One of my favorite racing games of all time. With mods it's one of my most played games of all time in my Steam library.

This game is absolutely incredible. I've beaten the game (by beaten I mean got gold on all races) and I am STILL playing. I beat it on Xbox 360, and bought it on PC JUST to replay it. Every racing fan needs to play this game.

Race Driver: GRID still not being a 100% simulator, is an awesome game i give this game 10/10 because is the most fun racing game i've ever played.
