An Arcade Action/Adventure in the form of an early 1990's arcade style game. This game is being built for my daughter in my spare time. It will be released to the public when finished but most likely in an altered state so she has her own unique arcade machine. The game is about my daughter Maddi saving her parents and the world from disaster. Although I play a role in the game (piggy backing her from stage 1-2 forward) she is the star of the game. Her power is blowing magic bubbles that contain different powers. Each level is split into a "Happy Place" and a "Nightmare Land" for each of the 3 family members. The concluding levels are entirely in a nightmare land where you will fight the final boss and his nightmare minions.

New Demos are out (c2 version buggy and cpu heavy as it is in Alpha stage). Things are missing from both and some things very between the two versions but they should be playing exactly the same now.

Changes:- Stage 1-2 now has a halloween theme.
- Layout of player stats etc changed.
- New energy bar + 5 hitpoints instead of 3.
- Pumpkin King Boss at the end of 1-2
- Multi directional shooting and dream grenade update.
- No more check points! You reappear where you died. (still glitchy and only on the CC version.)
- The C2 version is still very much under development compared to the CC version. There are a lot of things changed or missing from CC to C2 and I've had to come up with a lot of work arounds. There is no need to tell me what you find wrong with the C2 version, I'm well aware of it's problems and missing bits!
- Game over screen added (CC version)
- Other little things I'm forgetting.- The 2nd player is no avaliable in either game yet. The second player stat bits are missing from the CC version.
- Wanted to add falling leaves to CC version but ran out of time.
- FX missing from pumpkin king in CC version.

Keys are (both versions):
XandZ are action buttons, Arrow keys shoot.Keys for C2 version on title screen:
5 - coins
1 - start

Enjoy the beta/alphas They are both fully playable but still have their individual glitches the C2 one has no gameover or level complete screen and sprite z priorities are still slightly messed up.Ghost sound removed ;)

*Please not that the music is entirely place holder at the moment. I did not create the music. It will not be in the final game, it's just used as filler until the time when I can do the music ;)

Thanks! I'm glad you like what you see! Going to try to get the bugs out of this stage this week and try to get the third started or third ported.

I love the old school big pixel art look - it reminds me that I'm playing a video game. This is also going to be a full blown arcade cabinet for my daughter when it's done, thought she wont be able to play it for at least another year or so :)

I can do that for the next demo no problem. For now, I'm just trying out an html5/webgl version. Same keys etc. It's just going to be a little halloween demo for fun. But it's going to have all of the upgrades the real windows version will have. Such as two player co-op! I'm actually just designing the sprite for "SuperSonic Maddi" Right now. In co-op you play as Maddi for player 1 and Daddy for player two. It's becoming a little more like a contra shooter and less like a ghouls and ghosts looking game.

It's a well made game with great graphics and gameplay developed entirely by one man. This game is top because it's good and fun.

Plus, he's making it for his daughter to have the rest of her life, personally that's pretty cool to see.

It's mostly an action/platformer. The shooter levels were something I decided to do instead of a typical side scrolling shooter level. It will be 60-70% Platformer in the end. Still 6-8 stages left to build :)
