Description

Hi, my name is Jasiek Grochowski and I would like to welcome you to our first video about making of the game "Gloria Victis" that is a continuation of the "Ether Fields" project.
As some of you may know, we've switched engines and as of now, we're using the Unity Engine. I do not wish to delve into the reasons for this decision as such things should remain inside the team only to begin with.
As for the game's name... Well. Most of you, I assume, has heard that "Ether Fields" project was dead. And it was dead, I believe the name is very much in place.
The scenes you see before you are rolled with basic shader settings, so soon enough the whole game will look a whole lot better - how it looks today, that's up for you to judge!
Also, nothing is optimized yet and before it is, sometimes we have up to 10mln of triangles on the scene. The fun fact is that, even with a strain like that, the game is still working fluently. To achieve that fluency on Barok engine, we had to use ten times less triangles and four times smaller textures. This is as great as it was unexpected to us, a very nice surprise indeed.
