How do you make your perskin?
retexture the vtf files. then vmt to make it better
Any suggestions for what program to use or is Google my friend?
Well, for newbies paint.net might be helpful, but you'll have to download the VTF plugin for it, heck, and even then you'll have to duplicate the main layer and only modify the top layer with details posted on other layers above it, also, never use any other layer option than multiply for details, trust me, you'll regret it if you don't.
Use Paint.NET or Photoshop.
I use both. But to convert VTF file to png/pga/jpg or bmp file use VTFEdit. VTFEdit is a good program and its most stable and trust able.

Well if you want to be quick, you use the VTF plugin for paint.net, and save a .pdn file, remember to save all the time, it might not be AS stable, but it's quick as ****, also, never, ever, export as jpg.
