Garry’s Mod is a sandbox mod for the Source Engine. Unlike normal games there aren't any predefined aims or goals. Players are given tools and are left to entertain themselves. The player is in a world where objects can be created and destroyed on demand. Where people can be created and destroyed with the click of a mouse. A world made for him. A world he made.
Can anyone tell me why HLD:Source doesnt work?
your gfx card can't handle it.
Its Half-Life Deathmatch Source.i can play it normally. but everything in GMOD except the player models look like that.
That is the "missing texture," somewhere there is something preventing it from reading the materials, and, subsequently, the textures.
If you won't lose anything, delete the game folders (NOT from Steam and not the .GCFs) and restart them. If that still fails, perhaps you could extract the maps and materials from the HLDM: Source .GCF file and manually put them into the Gmod maps directory.
Of course, I am no expert, and likewise my advice is not guaranteed to work, but it may work.
That sounds like it'll work. Thanks 4 the info.
nevermind.it didnt work...it's only HLDS
shame i also get that with some downloaded counter strike maps
