Garry’s Mod is a sandbox mod for the Source Engine. Unlike normal games there aren't any predefined aims or goals. Players are given tools and are left to entertain themselves. Your ideas aren't too bad, you just need to put more effort into your poses, use more than five seconds when posing something, look at the pose, is that how you would do things?
If not then repose, and if you're unsure, look up reference pics or look at yourself in the mirror.
