Galactic Rangers Demo, version 0.2. Tons of new content has been added this time around, and the demo actually has an objective with a start and end point...
Nico is a brand new member of the galactic rangers; a group dedicated to protecting the galaxy against various threats. When a monster called Hydlob escapes the lab it seems to be a perfect first mission for Nico. Things quickly take a turn for the worse however, as Hydlob escapes into a refinery and new dangers threaten the galaxy.
Galactic Rangers is a third person shooter inspired by the Metroid Prime series, and is being developed by Blob Games Studio. You play as Nico on a mission to save the galaxy from an evil empire and a species of deadly parasites called the Parachtosites. Another player can join or leave in at any time to aid in the adventure and explore the galaxy.
-A large story mode
-Lots of items to collect, aiding you in your quest
-Large exploreable areas
-Menacing bosses to fight
-Play alone or with friends

Galactic Rangers has been on hold for a long time. Development is not resumed yet, but the game got some slight updates recently. As well as some new artworks, updated OST, and it's own subreddit!
First off, here is a new screenshot of Nico in-game!
(Embedding images does not seem possible right now, so I'm sorry it's only a link to the image...)
As you can see, Nico has gotten some nice improvements on his model! He has more polygons, giving it a smoother appearance. In addition to this, Nico's armor is upgraded a bit to look a bit tougher and stick out more.
We've also updated the game's shaders so it looks much better overall; especially on giving a more cartoony feel to the game.
Here's also an updated look on Nico in a new, flashy artwork!
It looks way better than the old one. It's more colorful, shiny, and alive then ever! I also made a new artwork of Hydlob, Galactic Ranger's first boss!
Here is Hydlob's battle theme as well!
You can also check out the rest of the game's OST so far right below. It's mostly just boss themes and a battle theme so far though, but enjoy it nonetheless!
Also, here is Galactic Rangers new subreddit! You can follow the game there for more frequent updates (as writing devlogs there is way easier than making posts here on IndieDB, to be honest). Not to mention that it allows you (the community) to interact with us and the game itself much better! You can feel free to post thoughts, ideas, questions, and more there anytime!
That's all for this post. Until next time!
