FranknJohn is a twin-stick, roguelike brawler, featuring random environments and ridiculous physics-based gameplay. Swing your chained head around and experiment with crazy Skullcaps, as you smash through a madhouse filled with danger, mystery and chaos. Confront your maker and attempt to put a stop to your his sadistic experiments.
Locked away in the lab of an old manor, lives Dr.Harmin, a scientist driven mad by the loss of his terminally ill son. In an attempt to replace his lost child, he becomes obsessed with the sense of power gained in creating life.
Blinded by his obsession, he fails to notice that one of his discarded experiments just happens to be what he has been seeking to create for so long.
FranknJohn awakens and escapes his faith in the basement furnace. Battling his way up through a deranged funhouse filled with unspeakable miscreations and deadly traps, he sets off on a path of self-discovery.
Hello one and all,
We've been a bit quiet since Rezzed, doing lot's of businessing, back-end systems design and recently flexing our acting muscles for our Gambitious crowdfunding video.
So as I've mentioned before, FranknJohn is going to be seeking funding through Gambitious, a games-only crowdfunding site with a twist - not only can you pledge for traditional rewards, there will also be an option to invest and earn revenue on games sales. Backers will get full access to our development process and a bunch of other cool stuff. Exciting huh??
More on that over the coming weeks as we prepare for launch. Oh, one more thing I CAN share, is that we'll be offering early access to the game through a low buy-in perk. Even more excitement. Yep.
Finally, the team will be out in force at the Eurogamer Expo! 4 days of fun and frolics will be had in Earls Court, where there will be a crowd of 70k gamers. Nuts. We'll be running FranknJohn on two monitors next to the Devolver Digital and Mastertronic booths. Come find us! We might have some goodies. Or at least you can play the game.. and meet Basil. Or maybe even have a tea with Basil. He likes tea.
I leave you fine folk with slightly updated gameplay footage from the Furnace of Anger. Enjoy!
