Facewound is a 2D side scroller which uses 3D acceleration to bring 2D games up to date' If you have a pixel shader 2'0 capable card you're in for a treat with effects such as water reflection and refraction, explosion shock waves, refracting rain and heat refraction' The engine also features an impressive to watch particle physics engine which makes things like sparks, water impacts and bullet shells really fun to watch' Our original aim with Facewound was to make a 2D game with all of the effects of something like Counter-Strike:Source and more' And I think we've achieved that' We're keeping the gameplay as simple as we can' It's a run and gun' If it moves, shoot it' You're likely to be attacked by zombies, spacebrains, ghosts, skeletons, rocks, fish and more' On your way through the levels you collect plutonium, which you can use to buy new weapons (of which there are lots)'

Basically the currently build of Facewound was going nowhere. It's still a nice enough game, but in retrospect the engine is rubbish. Almost everything is implemented wrong.
Therefore we've decided that we might as well release what we had, rather than locking it away forever.

wait! actually you can, check the sites forums, theres an un-official patch that gives you 1 extra live for every 4000 point? or was it 10000? i forgot, but some where amongst those numbers! check it out! xD
It's pretty impossible game, coz you can't get lives nowhere.
how do gain lives? im stuck with my only 1 life? shiz, this sucks, but the game kicks ass!

Yeah iv'e played the oh so buggy BETA, and I have to say.. O.M.G! This game is going to be SO awesome. The explosions are so kewl and theres like a million bits of flesh and debris flying all over the levels in bullet-time.. JOY!
I cant wait for the full release, lets hope that they keep the garrys mod on hold, and keep on working on this beauty instead.
