Deep Space Settlement is a 4X real-time strategy game focused on empire building and grand-scale space battle.
I'm done with skyboxes for now. I've created variations on the skyboxes, using fog and ambient light settings to produce 30+ different "environments". This is just visual for now, but I hope to tie sector properties to certain environmnts. For instance, the previously showns canis majoris skybox could be tied with a super high solar effeciency, so solarstation and farms are ueber effectice. Similarly the poison green one could perhpas slowly eat away at armor, as if there's acidic fog.
For now though, it's just different color shades trying to cover most of the spectrum and varying fog densities.
