Dark Messiah is an amazing game! very detailed levels with amazing attention to color and environmental effects. The fighting is very realistic. Though the levels are linear, Dark Messiah is an introduction to games like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
...What about Morrowind...
I'm not really defending Elder Scrolls, but isn't Elder Scrolls older than the whole Might and Magic universe?
When i think of epic combat systems, i will always think of this game.
