The vision has been nerfed so survivors disappear a lot faster, but now you have it very tough finding people, when you're 1v1.
Even when they trigger a trap, the range of your sound sensor just isn't far enough.
And the survivors can even tell if the Phantom spotted you or not by the music not activating.

So the Phantom really needs a buff somehow. People already figured out how to avoid it by now, so it's time to buff it up a little bit again.

I've only had the game for a few days but I've found the Phantom to be the more over powered / cheep class of the two, most phantoms I encounter play the game like its call of duty, they rush the spawn and gun down the survivors before they unlock five doors. This leave the survivors uninterested, they really didn't have any time to do anything in the game nor where they scared of the phantom, they just spawned, died, and end up feeling like there time was wasted on the match. I feel like the Phantom does have a place in the game but many things need to be altered to make it a more enjoyable class for all.

I agree with Darkovercast. The phantom needs work all around to be more fun for both the phantom and the survivors.

Personally I think that the phantom would be more fun if he could only see you while you are looking in his direction. After you look at him, the phantom will get some kind of noise(not the loud continuous music please)to let him know that someone looked at him and he has a few seconds to look directly at the target to gain extended visibility of that target until he(the phantom) breaks site with he target.

So the strategy would be to look away from the phantom as much as possible, and if you are seen, try to run somewhere you can break his line of site on you.
