Today's news post is to inform people about the recently released gameplay trailer for Coldenlight: Horror Plains.
It is over 7 minutes long and shows a wide variety of what players will come into contact with in the Horror Plains Alpha. It is clips of gameplay, not a single segment; but some of them are relatively long.
I would also like to mention, this does not represent the final product; especially graphically. The visual aspects of the Horror Plains will see many improvements.
The Horror Plains will be released just before Halloween.
Sorry for the low quality of the video. As you can see from the screenshots in our images section, it is much crisper than the video!

That is a quite impressive video! I really like the graphical style, albeit I'd think that horror-things tend to be darker :)
Just one little thing: While the landscape and critters look gorgeous, they feel quite detached, as if you are not really there. The various inhabitants do not seem to react to your presence, making you more of an observer than a player. That quickly turns the game into a lengthy walk through a (still rather beautiful) maze.

I agree with you, valuable criticism! The reason they don't follow you is because at this point in time there is no way to defend yourself from them. When I add in at least a sprint function, I'll have them chasing the player! :)
