Cook, Serve, Delicious is a hardcore restaurant sim, one of the few in it’s genre that gives the players total control over where they want to take their restaurant. To do that, you’ll start with a few thousand dollars and twenty foods to choose from to put on your menu, as well as a host of restaurant equipment and more. Nearly everything is unlocked from the start of the game for you to purchase; this is your restaurant, and you must figure out the best strategy to get that restaurant packed with satisfied customers. Along with running your restaurant you’ll also have the opportunity to be cast in the Iron Cook television show, throw parties for offices in SherriSoda Tower, read virtual mail in your SherriSoda Tower Email account which ranges from game tips to crazy spam, from customers providing feedback to your restaurant to opportunities to being able to fund projects via “ClicknStart” and other big surprises! Good luck!

Try running it as an administrator, or installing it somewhere other than Program Files or Program Files (x86).

Bought this a few days ago after watching a video by Northernlion saying this was a good game. For $9 this is a great deal, I've had a lot of fun with my first Desura purchase

I bought it but can't download it through the desura client in 64-bit ubuntu 13.04, since desura claims it's not availiable on this platform, I guess I'll download it manually until then.

Desura doesn't seem to recognize Linux as a supported platform for this game as it is missing the Penguin icon next to the "Buy" button. If I buy this through Desura will the game be installable on Linux? Or perhaps there is only an external installer, no updates via Desura?

I bought it as they had the demo for Linux. Seems that it won't show up in the games list, but is downloadable through the sidebar.

The premise is good, but the implementation is terrible. Once you start a chore you cannot do anything but that chore until it's completed (apart from instant-serving of completed foods). Chores and some foods take WAY too long, and the controls are not intuitive or very responsive. (It takes >20 button presses to "uncork" a wine bottle. If you have 4 customers lined up to order wine, at least one will leave in a huff) The game offers to let you use a mouse to control the cooking/chores.. but in…

@Verio_T if I did then people will already form an idea of what to expect, which I definitely don't want. :(

@summonerkittyca me too actually, but don't tell anyone. :)

@summonerkittyca hey thanks! :D

@PNF4LYFE Nah, I highly doubt DRM has anything to do with it. Just continuing that EA/MS partnership.

Jul 29 2014, 4:15pm

@PNF4LYFE depends how successful it is, I think they have at least a year locked up for exclusiveness.

Jul 29 2014, 4:10pm

@PNF4LYFE oh I dunno, I'm not really an insider guy unfortunately.

Jul 29 2014, 4:07pm

@PNF4LYFE I'd buy a Ubisoft pass, they have stuff I actually wanna play!

Jul 29 2014, 4:05pm

@PNF4LYFE And it is a good deal if you love buying and playin' EA games and sports games, sure. I can agree to that.
