Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used. The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

Basics:
You could sacrifice town->village->hamlet->farm->plain.
Also you could do port -> coastal village-> plain
You CANNOT sacrifice city.

Each sacrifice costs 3 AP. All priest heroes could do it. Some summons could do it too.
It seems that there is no difference between sacrifices - each sacrifice gives you identical attempt to improve your bless.
Hero is irrelevant. Town size is irrelevant. Current bless is irrelevant.

I've done some tests of blessing mechanic here are the results:
5 games with 10 towns sacrificed to dust - 200 attempts in total:
145 of them were success (72.5%)
Morale +38 (19%)
HP +69 (34.5 %)
MR +29 (15%)
Armour +5 (2.5%)
Awe + 2 (1%)
Str +1 (0.5%)

For armour, awe and str there were too few attempts for correct result. I think they have the same chance to appear. MR and morale could have the same chance too.
It is possible that there are more effects I've missed.

Official comments are welcome:)

This can be deduced, but no sacrificing enemy citadels either (aw man!).

Note that when you sacrifice the town shrinks one size. So you can sacrifice a Town, then the Village it becomes, then the Hamlet, then the Farm

I love this type of in-depth analysis! Go Scaramuccia!

Is there any way to automate priest king slave hunting or do you have to press 'H' for each commander every turn?

Mar 2 2012 Anchor

There is no automation.

Stupid question maybe, but does blessings stack at all?
Because whenever i play multiplayer game, every turn (or every loaded save at least) all bonuses except default morale +1 is reset...

For autoblessed units like priests?

for anyone... just tried again - butchered entire town, received bless, it was on my priest also, then skipped 1 turn - extra effect gone...

Does the effect return on the units when they have a blessing spell cast on them in combat? We know the HP gain doesn't work in that situation, but I'd like to know if the other effects return, because some of this is looking like buggy behavior.

Unfortunately, as far as i can tell, every bonus except + 1 morale vanishes upon skipping a turn in multiplayer game...

Does it stay in effect in SP games? Because it can be a network game bug.

I played a single player game as priest king a while ago and had no problems with the bless effect persisting, so it's probably a network issue.

Sorry, forgot to mention that i checked in SP and effects remained as long as i played (5-6 turns). So this is multiplayer only.
