Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used. The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

Detailed description by gp1628:

For those who have not had experience with CoE3's wonderful map capabilities, let me point some things out.
The specific sites such as the major city in the middle, and the towers to help guard each of the 4 player sections, are hard set into the map. They will appear there every time the map is played. As are the coast lines.

The white question-marks are the map maker telling the game to please replace these with any standard terrain such as mountains, forest, swamp, desert, etc. And then to replace some of those with the usual resource sites such as mines, farms, towers, graveyards, etc.

The red question-marks are the map maker telling the game to please put something random but special here.

So you can see that for this map some things will stay the same. The basic shape, the large areas for a player to control, the chokepoints for control, the prize in the middle. And other things such as the random luck of whether you have good resources or bad things landing next to you will be randomized every time you play the map.
Its a great mix between playability, and replayability IMHO

Excellent map. Thank you.
Not only does it allow newbies to expand safely for a maximum amount of time, but it would be nicely balanced for MultiPlayer play

Would you mind if I posted a picture of the map?

Since its community property maybe I will do a version with some quests to do, and some surprise events written into the map.
