Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used. The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

I would like to change some things about Dwarves, but I'm not sure how to go about that.

What do you set on a new Dwarf unit in the recruiting list to make them require an existing Dwarf Worker and consume that Dwarf Worker when they are created? I looked over the events list and it doesn't seem like there are any suggestions in the 3.16 mapping and modding guides. If I add an existing Dwarf unit without changing them at all to the list, they lose the pre-existing dwarf workers requirement. This is true if I reset the recruitment list or not. I saw the usual 5 Arbalests for 5 Workers option and at the bottom of the list was my test option of 15 Arbalests for 1 gold, and they did not require Workers.

Is there a way to re-create the effect of the Rune Smith's abilities (consuming Warriors or Guards to produce upgraded versions) elsewhere? Like say I wanted to allow the Warriors to perform a self-upgrade ritual without a Rune Smith present. Is this at all possible?

Self-upgrading rituals work only for commanders, so that seems to be impossible.

And i do not know, how to include dwarf requirement in recruting. Changing dwarves is pretty limited.
