Loved the video! How many maps do you plan on shipping with the game?

the objective thing really caught me by surprise. i was expecting simple Death Matches and such but this sounds like a lot of fun. reminds me og Enemy Territory Quake Wars where there were there a bunch of objectives which takes you around the map and certain epic things would happen. i really miss that in modern games which seem to really lack this feature.

seeing all there's a high chance i'll be getting this once it releases. granted it isn't over $40..

also, 3:19 owned.

That's quite a shame, Torn Banner Studios obviously put a lot of work into this game, its worth just about any price they throw at it, and you disregard all the work they've done because the game isn't "free"?

Before you start karma raping me and judging me, think about other peoples financial situation. I don't have the money to buy every god damn popular game out there like some people with their rich parents do, hell i needed like 6 months to get 50$ for a GW 2 and i took a loan from a friend to buy Space Marine. So basically i'm forced to play free MMO's, and pirated games.

Thank you and have a nice day.

PS before you say something like "We don't care go take a job", i already have a job but most of the money goes to bills, food and clothing. Also you are 18 so probably all the games you have are from your parents paycheck, but when you start living by yourself you will see how hard it is...

There is a middle ground! Crap i thought it was free?! Hope this goes on sale soon after release, its worth $10 to me, the price of a ticket to see the latest crappy superhero movie! Wish you luck man, having little money is no picnic!

And what about the developers? They put hours, hours and hours in to this game. They earn nothing on the game till its released. Why do you think game publishers want there games out has soon as possible? To make money! It's a huge investement and not without risks. What if the game doesn't sell?

I love free games. But i don't mind to pay for something good. Keep it up guys. Can't wait.

The animations, especially attacks, still feel sluggish.

You havn't even played the game, yet. How could it feel like anything? Bear in mind you aren't going to take a 15 pound two handed sword and whirl it around you in an instant. To me, it "looks" fine. Here, take a wood axe and swing it around you horizontally. (make sure no one is around of course) It takes a lot of effort to keep it at the level in which you are swinging.

Visual feedback is also a feeling. I am giving my feedback so the devs can improve upon it. But if you want them to cultivate on mediocrity, so be it. It's people like you, way too forgiving, who cause effortless rehashes from the industry.
I am interested by this game, and so I will tell whatever is lacklustre so they can hunt down as many flaws as they can. And I don't care about what you think about it, because you are the one doing wrong here.

You're right, i wish all projects could benefit from your exceptional wisdom.
You forget that these are people are talking to. NOT an industry! A little forgiveness wouldn't go amiss.

I didn't forget that I was talking about people. If anything, it would motivate me to be more harassing, because "people", to generalize, tend to be lazy when they are blindly complimented by forgiving people such as yourself.

Saying everything is fine when it's not is being hypocrite. People NEED to be told what is wrong with their work or even art.

I would never accuse hardworking people like these here as being lazy. Nor would I even consider "make it go faster" as useful advice. I'm sure they'd be saying "yah no kidding? we will get right on that." They aren't making it slow to spite you. (unless its the design decision to give the impression that some of these are really heavy weapons, which is what I see.) The choppiness could be of the video capture coupled with the fact they probably haven't optimized anything yet. As I said you really won't know till you play the game.

SPTX Jul 13 2012 replied:

So now you are serving me the "it's not a bug it's a feature" ********. You are cumulating, dude. I really, really don't think it can be intentionnal and if it is, then the guy in charge never saw someone swing nor swang himself a massive object.
You also have to remember that those character are supposed to be warriors, trained to swing those things. And finally, to continue on the weight of these weapons, in the video it looks like they have NONE, they are floating while you character slowly try to swing it.
Oh and might I add that there is no feedback when you register a hit. There is on block, but nothing else than a bit of blood when you properly land your hit. This is not enough.
Could the issue be from the video capture? Short answer is no and "Optimization" means nothing concerning the animations, at worst you could say "unfinished".
You don't just wait for a video game to be released to point down the flaws, that's a waste of time for both the dev and the buyer. A waste that you are promoting.
When someone does something, whatever it is, you are not supposed to say everything is fine, when a bit of it pleases you. Flaws must not be disregarded and must be addressed as soon as possible. Period.
