TL/DR: Live a life of a lone survivor in a desolate town filled with the mutated stuff of
nightmares. Scavenge for food and craft tools and weapons, fight monsters and
then eat them. Avoid deadly dangers like disease and toxic fog.

In the not so distant future a vicious pandemic ravages the Earth. The virus randomly
alters the genes of every living thing it makes contact with, causing rampant
mutation that very few can survive. Over the years the disease spreads
everywhere and all attempts to stop it fail. All across the globe major
population centers turn into nightmarish hellholes filled with deranged mutants
both of human and animal origin.

Seemingly immune to the virus, you somehow survive the initial onslaught and flee to the
coastal town of Chekhov-13. The birthplace of the virus, Chekhov-13 was
quarantined in the early stages of the pandemic, with a giant wall and
automated turrets preventing anything from leaving it. Isolation caused Chekhov-13
to become an image of an alien world, where mutated flora and fauna formed an
ecosystem that lives by its own new and incomprehensible laws. As deadly and
alien as it is, this is the safest place on Earth and you must learn how it
works in order to survive, and maybe, just maybe, find a cure...

  • Explore. Enter Chekhov-13, a town on the coast of Eastern Europe and witness the mutated wildlife that claimed the husk of once vibrant place full of people. Walk the streets and enter each and every building.
  • Survive. Chekhov-13 hides many dangers, both obvious and unseen. Hungry predators roam the town and you are their lunch. Thick toxic fog that will choke the life out of you fills the streets at night. Hunger is a constant threat that will reach you even where the monsters cannot. To fight another day you will need food and shelter and that is no easy task.
  • Fight. Pre-pandemic weapons are rare and faulty; there is no way you can find a machine gun with enough ammo supply to shoot your way through the dangers of Chekhov-13. Craft your weapons from scraps that you find, go primal with rocks, spears and bow and arrows.
  • Feel yourself at home. Find an empty building and make it your own: barricade the doors and windows, build a fence, and lay some traps, store items inside, get comfortable. Grow vegetables and tame beasts, so you don't have to risk your life for scraps of food every day.
  • Mutate. While at first it seemed you are immune to the virus, that is not the case. You are... different. Your mutation rate is slower and maybe you could even control it and mutate yourself to be faster, stronger and more agile. But at what cost?
  • Don't get sick. The virus is the center of your world right now. However, other diseases have not gone away. A bite of a rabid animal, a whiff of a poisonous plant or a taste of tainted food will make your survival ten times less possible. You could go blind, or develop photophobia, even a common cold will ruin your day when you will sneeze while trying to sneak by a pack of monsters.
  • Discover the past. Through newspapers, magazines, diaries and audio logs find out what was it like for the people of Chekhov-13 to witness the end of the world.

I like this kind of horror games and this one seems pretty good! I'm looking for indie games that I would like to share in my YouTube channel because I like helping indie games developers. I'm Argentinian and I would like this game to be known in the Sapnish community! Do you mind if I share it when the full release comes out? Tracking the game! :)

Also, i imagine action takes place in a russian town? In that case, i'd advice you to make everything in game russian (road signs, papers), except user interface of course. If there will be voice acting, make it russian. Then later you can make translations to english or english subtitles for text and voice.

Oh and one more thing! Real time menus are a must for this game. That is, when player enters an ingame menu or starts reading something in game, the time shouldn't freeze up, the world around him / her should continue evolving and perhaps he or she would not be able to read all of that material in that place because of an emergency or cold, just as well as it would be not possible to pick right gear in the heat of combat because the character would get killed while going through his / her backpack.

AMAZING!!!

Congratulations. You are making the very first true survival / combat simulator. I am huge realism / simulation fan and i was having hard time in believing what i was reading about this game, it's just too good. I'll bluntly say, it's like stalker but 100 more realistic and complex.

Someone finally did it! Let's celebrate! Oh wait... people usually like to be able to stock up with 500 kg of guns and ammo, and run 50 kilometers non stop, while killing every moster around and in worst case, get a scratch or two (by a blow which would have instantly obliterated them in real life or at least caused heavy bleeding). I think it's serious case of immaturity, to be entertained by such gameplay. But i'm sure, the number of us, realism fans is sufficient and increasing because silly games by profit seeking companies and silly gameplay aspects dominated for too long.

I'm also huge stalker atmosphere fan (i played it with a lot of mods to make it somewhat more realistic) so for me, this game is really, just too good to be true.

Sorry for overly long comment, i'm too excited. I'm very skeptical about paying for games but i'll preorder this one. Now i'm sure, the ideas for this game will just start cluttering my mind.
