This game is great and unique, especially for its time.
To think you can control different kinds of ghosts/robots to beat bad guys was awesome enough. But the fact it is based on the novel stresses the nice storytelling as well. Not to mention interesting puzzles and secrets.
There are some drawbacks of course that can scare modern players. The first is graphic bugs, however they can be easily fixed, see Pcgamingwiki.com. And second is not clear control, particularly on PC. So you'll need some time to get used to multiple actions you can do.
But all things considered, this game worth playing in your life.
