Ceres is a cyber-tactical space combat game, where you lead a squadron of ships in an exploration and battle-filled single-player campaign. Inspired by Homeworld, Elite and Paradroid, it features thorough ship customization, advanced cyber-warfare and elaborate space combat. Command your ships in a rich 3D environment, manage your crew and artificial intelligences, mine, explore and trade your way through multiple missions -while keeping clear of alien monsters, rogue machines and dangerous transhuman mutants.

I did try the Linux demo and flat-out had no idea what to do, I hope to see a decent in-game easy-to-follow tutorial by the time it's finished :)

no error messages at all, it just acts like it about to load, and then nothing happens, have you gotten it to run on linux? I tried to run it by clicking "run software"

I haven't tested it myself no, but you seem to be the first one to experience any issues with the demo. At least the first one to report issues.

A quick and dirty tutorial of the basics of the game.
Movement and combat. Use of drones, tactical view etc.

The in-game tutorial is a bit lacking so I hope this video will help.
