Dstroyd like many games uses particle systems for lots of effects like explosions, smoke, and fire. I had previously been making these using a text file I would write by hand for each effect but this weekend I wrote a particle system editor. It's a cool little program that lets me easily create really cool effects (as you can see in the video). Now I'm kicking myself, I should have written an editor years ago!
