Have you ever wondered, if there's still some people playing around on Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood Multiplayer servers? The answer is... YES!
LAN Multiplayer servers are mostly active right now and they don't require a serial key! In this guide, i'll show you how to make your own dedicated server and how to join one - using GameRanger
Information: Your Dedicated Server
If you want to run your dedicated server, you can download DS package for COJ: Bound in Blood: Web.archive.org or it's in my All In One: ChromEd Editor Package also available to Download (Google Drive link is available on Call of Juarez Community Discord). You can also download various custom multiplayer maps, from ModDB mirrors here:
- Make account on Game Ranger, after that you'll see the list of all games
- Search for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
- Start lobby on GameRanger and click "HOST" (EDITED!)
- In the game > Advanced Settings make sure you put the minimum player limit of 2 players to start the game. You don't want to be playing alone, don't you?
- Start the server via. Lan Mode or Dedicated Server & wait for people. After you click Host on GameRanger game will launch automatically and it will automatically turn on LAN Mode.
Known issues
- Sometimes GameRanger will not let you Host a server, popping off some weird error message about that you have a internet connection that can't host games
Solution:
Use VPN for that matter. I couldn't fix it on my own. Some VPN's like Proton VPN still pop up this problem, make sure your firewall is also off and it's not blocking any ports. If your internet is blocking ports, go to your internet settings page (by typing 192.168.1.1 - or just search: How to change NAT Settings on Router) and change the desired setting.
Information: How to join a GameRanger server?
- Download and install GameRanger client
- Register & Login into the GameRanger client
- When you'll enter GameRanger you'll see many online lobbies for various games, locate Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood lobbies
- If there's one, join it. And then click "Join" again and game will start automatically, and it will connect you to the GameRanger server! The server "lobby" that you joined on will now show under LAN section and you will be able to join & play with other people!
I hope I helped you out :)
