Build and Defend (or B&D) can be best described a Survival Strategic Multi-player Rogue-like Sandbox game. The game is mainly played at the 3th person (like Zelda 3). The main goal of the game is to build and organize a fortress in order to survive waves of monsters. To do so, and among other things, you will have to build ramparts, train soldiers, organize food production, resources gathering and crafting of tools. For the larger monsters, you will have to get an equipment and fight yourself. If you are brave enough, and to get the rarest resources, you will also have to explore dungeons, caves, and tombs. B&D can be played alone, cooperatively with several players on the same computer, or though internet. Several experimental mods are available, including a first person PvP, a creative mod, and the castle mod.

The lag on the server is finally over and the development of the new version of Build & Defend is in progress. Here is an overview of the new features that will be included in Build & Defend Alpha 9.0

I am back from holidays.
The lag on the server is finally over and the development of the new version of Build & Defend is in progress.
This new version will add major new features into the game:

- Sheep will be added into the game. They will be able to reproduce, they will give “meat” when killed, and you will be able to shear them to get wool.

- Workers will be easier to find.

- You will be able to build workshop. Only the worker will be able to craft items. Workers can craft some of the items sold by the shopkeeper (stairs, leach, cloths, armors). Workers can also craft new types of objects (rope, catapult, catapult shots).

- You will be able to build catapults. Catapults have huge ranges, they are dealing huge damages, and they are controlled by players. Your workers have to craft the catapult shots and load them into the catapult.
