Bloxia is a survival game set in a comic-styled world, where the player is tasked to build a new boat after shipwrecking. In the meantime, the player must handle it's extremely limited inventory, whilst exploring the dangers of a randomly generated island. Bloxia is different from any other survival game, because of the unique way the game handles generic in-game experiences, such as: inventory management, enemy spawning and crafting. Bloxia features no zombies, no respawning resources/enemies and no heaps of inventory space: Everything is definite and limited. Everything you see, is everything you'll ever be able to deal with and when it's gone, it's gone. Forever.

I've added a feature into the game which allows you to build roofs! Check it out!

Blog from my site (2-6-2015):

Let me start this blog by swearing that I'll never forget to upload (relevant) blogs to IndieDB anymore. Most of the time I write these blogs in the evening, thinking I'm done, however, I still need to upload them. So, from now on, I'll never miss a blog post again!

Now, today's feature isn't something spectacular, but it does provides bunches of fun, especially in multiplayer. You can now build roofs!

Currently, there is no reason why you should ever build a roof. Apart from the fact that it's nice to give your house a rooftop, of course. It will, however, come in handy later.

Right now the roof building isn't the easiest, but it's the best possible method I can think of. Whenever you're placing blocks, you can now press 'Shift' (the sheath item key) to toggle "roof mode". If roof mode is disabled, you simply place blocks as you would regularly. If roof mode is enabled, it checks for blocks nearby and places a roof against it.

It still needs some work, but it does what it's supposed to be doing, and that's already pretty cool. Especially considering I've whipped this up in just a couple of hours. Still, there are restrictions, such as that you can't build on top of the roof. I'll be sure to work on that in the future.

Oh, by the way, I was playing Bloxia for fun a while ago, and I'd noticed how much Bloxia has evolved in the past month. I know I've said this before, but I really can't wait to get it out there and see people have fun with it!
