Yes, this game is a bit of an oldie, but it's one of the most perfect point-and-click adventures I've ever played. A few points of trial-and-error that involve trying objects at random was a bit frustrating, but overall it's a solid, well-done game. It simply needs to be experienced by everyone, if not for its gameplay then for its humor. Robert's smart-mouthed robotic companion Joey was easily my favorite character.

Mind blowing game lol! Its old but its terrific. Love this game!
Doesn't launch. Ubuntu 12.04
I used that and it did work. 32 or 64 bit? I tried 64-bit.
Oh, and I forgot to mention... there are very strong rumors (including some words from Charles Cecil himself) to indicate that Beneath a Steel Sky 2 is going to go into production sometime next year, including art direction from Dave Gibbons! I suspect it's closely dependant on the outcome of their Kickstarter project for the new Broken Sword game, currently in progress.
That would be awesome, BaSS was fun times.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for distributing BaSS this way! I know, it's available free of charge with ScummVM, but still, making the effort to bring it here so it's so easy to fetch and play, I'm enormously pleased.
I did have to modify the launch script by hand to add a '-f' so it would run full-screen in Linux (because the feature in Desura for modifying command line argument order is not flexible enough to permit it to be the first argument, which it apparently must be, for invoking ScummVM). Other than that It is all perfect.
Installed through Desura. Runs great on Linux. xD
i click on the windows one not the free one cuz that one wont work for me error just like gravedigger and nothing happens wont even show up in my games list to validate/DL
