Did you watch those stick figure flash videos of the 2000's? Are you a fan of Newgrounds, Xiao Xiao, or Stick Death? If so, Ballistick is right up your alley. An homage to this generation of flash videos, Ballistick offers compelling 2D combat combined with tactical gameplay and hyper-realistic gun mechanics.
Infiltrate enemy strongholds
Massacre enemies with ten different weapons/gadgets
Stealth or guns blazing, you decide
Live the animations that you loved as a kid
Intensely realistic gore and gun mechanics
Manually add shells to your shotgun, drop the clip out of your M4, or toggle your safety
Relive the glory days of flash stick animation and kill some stick figures while you're at it.
The days of stick figure combat have finally returned. Today, the side scrolling tactical shooter, Ballistick, hits stores.
Ballistick combines over-the-top stick figure gore (typical of the era) with extremely realistic gun mechanics and tactical gameplay. The player must hop from cover to cover, intelligently taking out their targets, either via stealth or brute force.
Ballistick also offers gun mechanics rarely seen in games today. Each action requires the proper steps to complete. Want to pump a shotgun? You must hit the back key to cock it back, then forward to cock it forward. Want to reload a magazine? You must hit down to drop the magazine out, up to lift it in, and forward to reengage the bolt (if you fired the last round).
These mechanics offer an entirely new layer of depth to the game that 2D games of this type are sorely lacking. Combine these mechanics with unique gadgets like ECM Jammers, a snake cam, claymores, and even grenades, and you have gameplay that will keep you coming back again and again.
Relive the glory days of flash stick animation and kill some stick figures while you're at it.

I can't play it :( In the main menu the cursor is hidden and i can't do anything with my keyboard or controller and the game keeps shifting through the buttons :(
Hmmm... Can I ask, what type of controller are you using?
Other solution: Unplug the controller, restart the game, and start with just the keyboard. It only hides the cursor if it detects you have a controller.
I actually already tried that :/ Still did this weird thing.
Well I wouldn't be surprised if it's incompatible with my controller. It's a cheap one. Thrustmaster Dual Analog 4. I never had any problems with it so far though. GTAV for example works perfectly with it.
Ok. I'll look into that model and see what's up. For now, the build should work with just the keyboard. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Also I went to add Karma to your post and clicked the wrong button! Now it won't let me take it back. Sorry about that.
Hey BombShelterGames, could you please read my response to the game on Stickpage? The uesrname is Awestube on there: Forums.stickpage.com
Hey Awez,
I actually replied last night but it said it needed to get approved by a moderator. I'll give it until tonight to see if it shows up, if not I'm happy to chat through indieDB instead. Gist was, great feedback, a lot of the things you mentioned were things that we actually did want to fix ourselves, so we were glad to hear you had the same thoughts.
Ahh, alright! Nice to hear.
This over all is a pretty good game, but it would seem that the shotgun is practically useless. I'll get right up in an opponents face, and it still takes 4 to 6 hits to kill them. Also, sometimes the reload animations get stuck on the final arrow press. Other than that though, I love it! It really reminds me of xiao xiao or toughluck anims.
Thanks for the feedback! I tweaked the shotgun so it is much more effective now (maybe too powerful, but we'll see). I'll look into the reload bug. There is a feature where if you use the last bullet in the gun you have to hit the forward arrow after reloading, to simulate racking the slide to add a bullet to the chamber. Maybe that's it, but I'll definitely check it out. Look for your username in the special thanks when the game ships!
Thank you for listening! :)
